MORENA: Nephew of Congress candidate from Sumawali constituency Aidal Singh Kansana was shot dead in firing by the BSF officials in Sumaoli constituency of Morena district, on Monday.
Bhura Kansana, 27, was shot at and injured by the sleuths of Border Security Force (BSF) after he continued threatening voters at a polling booth in Sumawali, said sources. Police said Bhura died of excessive bleeding during treatment while undergoing treatment at Gwalior hospital.
"He had a bullet injury below his knee and was referred to Morena district hospital and then to Gwalior for further treatment," Chambal DIG D K Arya told TOI.

Sumawali in Morena and Lahar in Bhind witnessed several cases of violence during the polling. The region has a history of poll-related violence and no wonder why the police were treading with extra large force, including the paramilitary forces, are pressed into service. For the second time, the BSF has been deployed.
